I begin my campaign adventures in AoE2 with the Joan of Arc campaign.

The goal in this scenario is to escort Joan of Arc from the camp at Vaucouleurs (Yellow) to the Château of Chinon (Orange).

There isn't really a strategy here. You are mainly following the path ahead of you all the way while dodging or slaying all the threats.

That said, you begin by grabbing your army and head south. Wait while the English and French forces battle one another then continue south until you hit the river. Go west and then clear out the highwaymen and reach the burgundy city. If you go north around the city you will reach some allies across the river that will give you reinforcements if you need them.

Use these reinforcements to get past the burgundy city and towers and head west until you reach a dock that will provide you with three transport ships. Use the transport ships to head to the southern corner where you can unload your units. You'll gain some more allies and then you need to eliminate one more band of highwaymen before you're able to reach your allies in the west corner safely. Once Joan is inside the castle walls, victory will be yours.
