Witness one of India’s most heroic rescue missions with the full movie “Airlift”, starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur.

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, this 2016 patriotic drama is inspired by true events during the first Gulf War in August 1990. The film follows the story of Indians stranded in Kuwait after the Iraqi invasion, seen through the journey of businessman Ranjit Katiyal and several others caught in the crisis.

Amid chaos and uncertainty, Ranjit steps forward to lead thousands of helpless Indians toward safety. Against all odds, they travel across Iraq into Jordan, from where they are finally brought back home to India through what became the largest civilian evacuation in the history of the world.
