So I was after a big and rich boilermaker tonight. Loads of decadence, jammy fruits and chocolate. And I remembered I had a bottle of PX Hogshead matured whisky from the Speyside distillery... The GlenAllachie. The home of Billy Walker. And what's special about THIS particular bottling, is that its a single cask that was selected by Julian and Brooke of Whisky and Alement. And what a cask selection this was!

Now to find a beer that would do the job in complimenting this single cask beast...


Beer: Amundsen "Barrel Aged Upside Down Christmas Cake 2020" - Pasty Chocolate Stout - 11.5%ABV
Whisky: GlenAllachie 2004 Single Cask 14YO - PX Hogshead - 58.7%ABV


And after the boilermaker..... the giveaway.... 50ml pours of all 11 x bottles of Highwayman. (Batches 1 thru to 10 and the Global Blend). The winner was picked at random by a random name generator (after compiling all the lists of subscribers together). And the winner is......
