What feels like a few years ago, the legendary Queen of Country Music Philomena Begley during an interview on RTE’s ‘Late Late Country Special’ (2015), predicted that newcomer Cliona Hagan would very quickly make her mark on the Irish and UK Country Music Scene to a viewing audience of 1.3 million.

Awarded Female Vocalist of the Year at the prestigious Irish Post Country Music Awards (August 2017), and Sunday World Female Vocalist of the Year three years running (2017, 2018 & 2019). Since Cliona’s launch in 2016, she has not only played to her own packed audiences, but also toured with some of the industries greats from Philomena Begley to Nathan Carter. To add to that, she was delighted to have been the opening act at Aiken Promotions Harvest Country Music Festival.

Cliona Hagan won the newcomer of the year gong at the 2016 RTE Irish Country Music Awards. She first shot to fame when she reached the final of The All Ireland Talent Show on RTE TV in 2009 after being mentored by Eurovision Song Contest winner Dana.

Cliona is a classically trained singer and music teacher, but she insists that country is her first love. The young Tyrone woman says: "Whether it was American or Irish country, I loved it, with my favourites being the Dixie Chicks and Garth Brooks… and of course the great Irish country singers like Daniel O'Donnell, Philomena Begley and Susan McCann.
