Horses have been saddled and loaded into the trailer, the second cup of coffee goes into the yeti mugs, burritos have been wrapped in foil. This crew is headed to the desert to gather the cattle The alarm goes off at 5:30 to Willie singing the Highwayman and momma gets the first pot of coffee brewing and the bacon started for the breakfast burritos. Dad heads out to feed the horses before they get saddled for the day. The cow pups all are anxiously awaiting for the time to load up in the pick up, these days are their favorite, the don’t care that is a balmy 20 degrees and icy. This day involves cattle and these pups love cattle.

Everyone dons their long Johns, wool sweaters, wild rags and woolies. The woolies hang in the tack room all year long, waiting for the very cold weather and then it’s their day to come in clutch.
