"Farewell Party" is a song written by Lawton Williams. He also had the original recording in 1960 Little Jimmy Dickens recorded the song in 1961

I was also recorded by Country Music artists Johnny Bush, Waylon Jennings, and Gene Watson. Gene's recording was released in 1979 as a second single from his album "Reflections" "Farewell Party" was #5 on the Billboard Charts of Hot Country Signals from the Gene Watson recording
