A walkthrough of my capital ship after the Endurance update. I’m tired of all these cute little freighter builds that look like cozy malls. Freighters are meant to be freighters, capital ships are meant to be capital ships. The GMS Highwayman strives to be exactly what its ship type suggests - a mobile, spaceborne warship with an armada of supporting frigates. Necessities, industry, food production, crew quarters, med bay, recreation and utility - this is a WARSHIP. Above all else, it also seeks to convey a small sense of the massive SCALE of these ships, something I’ve found to be sorely lacking in other, much more talented builds. The thing is miles long, you shouldn’t be able to see it all with a 4 minute stroll.
Freighter layout:
1F - bridge, legacy wings (kept from pre-Endurance for nostalgia purposes), new central areas
2F - observatory and loot floor of the open floorplan interior
3F - food production
4F - industrial facilities
5F - crew barracks and recreation
6F - the aft outdoor forest I’ve always wanted to build in space, and a landscaped sitting area sternside
7F - vacant, to allow for max-height trees to be placed in the first. Small sitting area to look out over the canopy.
Minor lights, graphical and audio issues due to the engine's inability to keep up.
