Join me in the churchyard at St Mary's Church in Wanstead. As we visited the grave of Thomas Turpin (A butcher from Whitechapel). As well as being the Uncle of Highwayman Dick Turpin's, Thomas's burial entry, allows us to learn two interesting facts of English history = How Whitechapel got its name + the protection of the English Woolen Trade.
