My rendition of this song that was originally recorded by Waylon Jennings between April and July 1966 at RCA Victor Studios in Nashville and was produced by Chet Atkins. It was released as a single in November 1966 on the RCA Victor label with the B-side, "Silver Ribbons". It entered the US Billboard Country top 40 on January 7, 1967 and charted for 12 weeks, peaking at number 11. It was the fifth top 40 country hit of his career. It was also released as track 3 on Jennings' December 1966 RCA Victor soundtrack album, Nashville Rebel. Written by Harlan Howard.
