Most haunted medieval church in the UK. St. John the Baptist church in Boughton village, Northamptonshire, has an 800 year history of myths, legends and local ballads: ghost of the lady in white, the deadly kiss from the ghost of the red haired lady, laughter of Victorian children playing amongst the gravestones, disembodied moans and groans of a murderer hanged from a tree in the churchyard, and a not so dandy highwayman that haunts the old village green.
