1969, On the Johnny Cash variety show, Johnny introduced the Monkees by playing the first verse of "Last Train to Clarksville" with the Monkees on backing vocals,
1974, The 3 day Ozark Music Festival kicked off to over 350,000 fans featuring B.T.O, Blue Oyster Cult, The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more,
1976, Deep Purple split up after their UK tour, David Coverdale went to form Whitesnake while Jon Lord and Ian Paice went made a band with Tony Ashton,
1981, Declared as "Roy Orbison Day" in Odessa, Texas. Roy was given the keys to the city and performed,
1991, Steven Adler ex drummer of Guns N' Roses filed a suit against the band for removing him from the group and getting him hooked on hard drugs
1993, Rage Against The Machine protested censorship at their Lollapalooza gig by standing naked for 15 minutes,
2010, Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi amicably settled a long time legal dispute over ownership of the name "Black Sabbath"
