I truly think if Johnny Cash was alive today, he would have something to say about the blatant greed, lies, and evil being spread around Washington; like the seemingly evil treatment of the down trodden, migrants, and children. As I walked back into my country roots recently this song came out. Songwriting isn't always about writing the next hit, it's about releasing a little of our soul to heal. That's what this song is about, I hope you enjoy it. Here are the chords and words:

Capo 1 E- or F

E A
Oh mystery, don’t bury me
B7 E
In your hands, In your hands
E A
Take me back, face the facts
B7 E
I am weak, I am weak

A E
Let me walk in your grace
B7 E
Let me feel the air of peace
A E
Let me stand for what is right
D A E
Let me walk in path of light

A child’s face, a worn out place
In our hands, In our hands
On TV screens and in my dreams
My heart hurts, my heart hurts

B7
When morals are lost
A E
To the wealth of gain
B7
He finds no host
A E
In this evil game

Take me back, the man in black
Hold our hands, hold our hands
Speak gentle words, now rarely heard
Mend our hearts, mend our hearts

Chorus
