Folks, this song "Michael Row the Boat Ashore", is my tribute to the African American slaves who suffered and yet managed to sing a folk song of hope during the Civil War. I patterned my rendition after The Highwaymen's 1960 #1 hit recording. Let us never forget the moral stupidity that existed way back then and still exists in many places today. And may all of us never allow greed and prejudice to poison our hearts and minds again.
