Monte Montgomery in 1999 Live from the Texas Music Cafe in Waco Texas.

It is easy to recognize Monte's talent as a guitarist but this song really showcases his amazing writing skills as well as Monte being an incredible vocalist. Monte uses his voice like a fine brass instrument here in the same style of vocalists like Anita Baker or Leon Redbone.

Always an honor to work with Monte as he is uber talented and a damn fine gentleman.

Accompanying Monte is Wacoan Phil Bass on drums (thanks Phil for tuning that old Ludwig kit for us). Phil also performs with the South Austin Moonlighters, and many others. Phil is a session drummer, teacher, and one of the best musicians to hail from Waco (in our humble opinion).

Chris Maresh (Bass) is a GRAMMY nominee and can be seen performing with The Austin Symphony, Eric Johnson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Bonnie, Raitt, Willie Nelson, and many others. Chris won Bass Player of the Year in Austin, TX. He also also has two solo albums well worth checking out!
