What is going on everybody? Welcome back to The Rat’s Nest! This is chrom3rat, and we are finally pushing into the heart of the Horns of the South. We’ve successfully navigated the fortress gates, and now it’s time to see what kind of "circus" Captain Breandan is actually running here.

Inside this session:

Órlaith the Merchant: We met a sharp-tongued trader who’s been held hostage by the Keepers' bureaucracy. She’s hired us to track down her supplier, Nest, near the ArchSpire. She also gave us a grim reminder of why the Wyrdness is so feared, sharing stories of a settlement where parents "melted into the floor" while their children watched.

The Armor Penalty: I finally realized why I couldn't dash—wearing heavy knight gear without meeting the Endurance requirements triggers a "broken leg" penalty. We’ve scaled back to a lighter Grief-Torn setup mixed with some "fabulous" satin trousers until we can level up our stats.
Mom’s Finest Pie: We met a soldier who is absolutely sick of eating nothing but fish. He’s tasked us with recreating his mother's famous pie recipe, which should give us a nice cooking goal for the next few episodes. (@CohhCarnage get the damn fish!)
The Horse & The Highwaymen: Major milestone—we found a Horse!. While the controls are a bit jerky, it’s a game-changer for traversing the King's Road. We had to fight our way through a group of bandits to keep it, but it’s ours now.
The Disgraced Nobleman: Near the beach, we dueled a disgraced nobleman for his gear. We’re now rocking a mix of his "noble" drip and our existing armor, including a Staff of Otila and some silken gloves.
Corpse Eater Combat: We’re getting much better at the 3v1 fights. Balancing siphoning magic with mace swings is becoming second nature, even if the enemies still have a annoying habit of "tethering" back to their spawns.
We’re Level 5, mounted up, and ready to head north to find Orla's cargo. Avalon is getting darker by the minute, but the Rat's Nest is just getting started.
