Tomasz Łosowski - "Funk Magic" | Drumcam for Beatit.TV

Tomek Łosowski is a recent Gretsch endorsee who has been one of the busiest drummers in Poland over the last 30 years. He has close to a hundred albums under his belt, both as a session player as well as with his own bands and projects.
Today, we present to you a recording of Tomek's performance recorded at our studio in November 2024.
Tomek played a self-penned tune, titled "Funk Magic", taken from his 2016 solo album “Fusionland”.

The drum kit was recorded with the following microphones: DPA, Shure, SE, Bayerdynamic and Hum. Neve, Chandler, Germanium, Focusrite and Rme preamps were used. For the recording and test, we used a Gretsch USA Maple drum kit, consisting of two rack toms (10“ x 7”, 12“ x 8”), two floor toms (14“ x 14”, 16“ x 16”), as well as a 22“ x 18” bass drum and Gretsch snare drums (you'll find their test in the forthcoming video and article as they are not included in the kit). We put Remo heads on all of the drums (Ambassador coated on the toms and floor toms and Powerstroke 3 on the bass drum). During the test, we also used a set of Zildjian cymbals:
