A song from my recent concert of Shel Silverstein songs at South Yarra Senior Centre in Fawkner Park.

It was written for the 1970 film about the famous Australian bushranger, Ned Kelly. The film was directed by Tony Richardson, and starred Mick Jagger in the title role. It was a British production, but was filmed entirely in Australia, shot mostly around Braidwood in southern New South Wales. Shel Silverstein wrote the songs for the sound track, including this one, which was performed in the movie by Waylon Jennings.
