I found this carving of highwayman Dick Turpin while walking Skibadee through Hainault Forest yesterday, there's at least 50 carvings of serpents and all kinds of others spread out among the pathways. Dick Turpin used to rob people going to and from London hundreds of years ago and his name is used by pubs and other businesses due to his notoriety all over the place locally.
